Final Major project!!

I am over halfway through my final major project now. My theme is called Future Tribalism it's a sort of continuation from my minor project based around science, however this time round I have looked less at cells and the biological side of science and have moved on to technology infused with nature. Florals and microchips have become my main focus of imagery. These are some photos of my drawings:

Minor project Drawings!!

Finally got some more work on here.

These are my some of my drawings for my minor project. It was based around imagery from under the microscope and elements of the human body which was infused with florals. I decided to digitally print my designs in the end, with some experimentations with screen printing on some of them. I am pleased with my drawings, I feel that my backgrounds were strong and they gave me a good base to work on.

I am still alive

I have been very busy creating wonderful designs for my final year, it's been very exciting!
I have not been able to get onto my blog due to password issues, but finally got it sorted, thank god. So what have I been doing? Haha. Well I have never spent so much time on Photoshop in my life, but I guess it's all worth it in the end. So that means a lot of digital printing! CAD is definately the most successful way for me to design. I will post my drawings and designs very soon!! :)

So whats been happening?

It's been ages since I last posted anything on here! I've been neglecting my poor blog, aww. But now I have lots of nice work to show and have been doing lots and lots for my concept journal over the summer for starting my third and final year! Argg, very scary, but for now here's some of my final designs from my last project, based on mens spring/summer t-shirt designs. Enjoy. :)

New blog layout

I'v just changed my blog layout giving it a more design look to it. I am looking into creating my own layout instead of a ready made template though ......More work coming soon :)

...Finally

I found some photos from my fashion embroidery project. It was based on a 1980s beach style. I used a mix of print and hand/machine embroidery however I was a bit disappointed with some of the finishes of them. Here's my favourite design to show you.

I used a mix of heat transfer and embroidery on this design and I think the colours work well together, however the transfer paper for my photograph wasn't very good quality and it came out very shiny when I was hoping for a more matte finish. I'm also not too sure about the t-shirt style, however it is the design that's the main thing. :)
